“The Mistika software breaks the barrier
between editing and compositing!”
Misitika’s infinite layer timeline
with no dedicated audio, video or effect tracks
also works as a desktop on which editors have
the creative freedom to move, cut, copy and
paste multiple versions of an edit or complex
composite effect stacks.
In this same timeline interface we are also
able to stack up multiple layers of clips
and effects to create complex composites.
Mistika allows non-destructive grouping of
clips and effects that help users organize
projects into more manageable pieces and also
provides an intelligent way of creating template
effects and composites that can be re-used
as custom made effects.
All effects and composite parameters in Mistika
are manipulated using a comprehensive compositing
view in which the users will find all the
specific visual parameter manipulators for
crop, color chooser, color corrector, 2D translation,
3D transformation, etc… The Mistika
compositing panel has a tree flow diagram
that allows you to navigate up to any level
of the composite so that users can manipulate
parameters at any level of the stack whilst
they are seeing the final result changes in
real time. Once Mistika users setup a composite
stack on the timeline they are able work the
entire composite using this simple composite
panel without having to go back to the timeline.

“Mistika introduces a gestural interface
that turns editors and compositors into artists.”
Mistika also introduces a proprietary character
recognition system called “SCRIBE”
that allows users fast access to common commands
and effects using simple strokes and gestures
from a WACOM tablet. With time and practice
users will find that they can operate the
Mistika software at great speed on automatic
motions and gestures alone!

“Mistika’s intuitive interface
allows clients to be productive immediately.”
Mistika’s interface has been designed
for editors and compositors alike using well
established editing and compositing interface
paradigms as seen in other competing products
without compromising or restricting Mistika’s
own unique functionality. As a result the
learning curve on Mistika is steep; users
with experience in other products will have
no problems getting their Mistika systems
to produce finish projects with only a little
practice.
